In celebration of Black History Month, MENO is currently working on a series celebrating the intersection of Black and Muslim identites- “Beyond Black History Month”. This series will be an intentional disruption to the colonial, performative acknowledgment of Black contributions during only a designated time of year. Please stay tuned for the release of this series, accompanied by suggestions for curricular unpacking in the months to come. We will also be hosting workshops to unpack the series.
